Jiri Zrust appointed as Global Head of Operational Assets

Singapore, 16 September 2024 – Trafigura today announces the appointment of Jiri Zrust to the newly-created role of Global Head of Operational Assets. Jiri will join the Group on 1 October 2024 from CVC Capital Partners in London where he was Partner, Head of Infrastructure and a member of the Strategic Opportunities team.

 

Jiri will lead the newly formed Operational Assets division, overseeing the governance and management of all of the Group’s controlled and minority-owned operational assets in infrastructure, downstream and midstream oil, mining, metals refining, power generation, logistics and renewables.

 

Prior to joining CVC in early 2022, Jiri spent ten years with Macquarie Group's infrastructure funds business, where he was Senior Managing Director and Head of Energy Transition. In this role, Jiri led country coverage and origination across infrastructure and physical assets in Europe. Before joining Macquarie, Jiri worked for 17 years in the transport and logistics sector.

Jiri has an industrial engineering background and an MBA from the Open University Business School, UK.
